How to Assign Tasks

  1. Access the Axonator Builder

    • Go to builder.axonator.com
    • Log in to your Axonator account
  2. Navigate to your workflow

    • Select the app containing your workflow
    • Open the workflow where you want to assign tasks
  3. Add the “Assign task” action

    • Drag the “Assign task” action into your workflow
    • Note: This creates two connected steps
  4. Configure the first step (Assigner):
    A. Set Task Assignment Policy
    • Choose “Specific user” or “Task escalation users”
      B.  Select Assigner (if “Specific user” is chosen):
    • Specify who will assign the next task
      C. Set “Assign to which role”:
    • Choose the role to filter the user list
  5. Configure the second step (Task Assignment):

    • This policy is used to assign tasks based on the users’ availability.
  6. Save your changes

    • Click the “Save” button to confirm your task settings
  7. Test the workflow

    • Run a test to ensure tasks are being assigned correctly
  8. Monitor and adjust

    • Check that tasks are being received and completed as expected
    • Make adjustments to the assignment process if needed

Important Notes

  • The “Assign task” action allows for manual assignment of tasks
  • Task Assignment Policy determines how tasks are allocated
  • Rejectable tasks will show “Accept and Reject” buttons when opened
  • Ensure assignees have the necessary permissions to view and complete tasks
