Task Assignment

Task assignment and automation are crucial components of efficient process management. In Axonator, you can set up workflows that automate parts of your business process such as assigning tasks to other individuals in your organization. These tasks can be triggered at various intervals of a process and can be set up using a variety of task assignment policies.

The task assignment policies that can be used to automatically assign tasks to another individual or group of individuals are –

  1. Role based assignment: Assign Tasks to a person randomly which has a specific role assigned to them in the app.
  2. Specific User assignment: Select the individual who is to be assigned with the task directly once it has been triggered.
  3. Task Escalation assignment: Assign the task to the user which is available first from the specified users list.
  4. Workflow step specific assignment: Assign the task to a user who has already been assigned a task in another step of the same workflow.
  5. Broadcast and Pick assignment: Broadcast the task to a group of individuals and assign the task to the user who decides to complete it.

Task assignment can also be done manually, where the person completing the current task gets to select who the next task should be assigned to.
You can also set the properties such as whether or not the task can be rejected by the assignee, and how long the task should be kept live for before it expires and cannot be completed.

By leveraging these task assignment policies and integrating them into process automation, organizations can significantly enhance efficiency, ensure fair workload distribution, and optimize resource utilization throughout their processes. This automation reduces manual overhead, minimizes errors, and allows teams to focus on higher-value activities while ensuring that tasks are completed in a timely and organized manner.
