Send Email Action

The “Send Email” step is used to send the email to the user with the attachments.

There are different properties of a Send Email step:

When you click on the send email step placed on the middle screen, a set of properties can be seen on the right panel.

Send Email?

This property is used to send the email to the user or not. It has two options: Yes/No.
When you set this property as “Yes”, it will send the email to the user.
When you set this property as “No”, it will not send the email to the user.

Which email template

This property is used to set the email template to send the email. You can create this email template using the “Report Builder” of Axonator.

Recipient email address source type

This property has two options: Fixed and Reference.
Fixed: It is used when you want to send the email to the fixed user(s). You can add multiple email ids in comma-separated format.
Referenced: It is used when you want to send the email to the user which you want from the form’s field.

Recipient email address

This property is used to set the fixed user to whom you want to send the email. This property is visible when you set the “Recipient email address source type” property as “Fixed“.

Select Referenced Email Field

This button is used to set the configuration from which you want to take the email from the form.
Below are the steps to set this configuration:
1. Click on the “Select Reference Email Field” button.
2. Select the form from which you want to use the email of the user to send the email.

3. Select the field from this selected form, from which you want to refer the email. Save the configuration and save the workflow.

According to the configuration, email id which will be present in the email field of the selected form, email will be send to that email id.

 

Attach a document?

This property is used to whether you want to attach the document with the email or not. This property has two options: Yes/No.
If you set this property as Yes, it will ask you the below property, otherwise, it will send an email with no attachment.

Which Generate Document Step

This property is used to set the Generate document step (from which the document is getting generated) from the workflow which you want to attach with the email.

Attach a Excel ?

This property is used to whether you want to attach the excel sheet which is generated using “Excel” step with the email or not.
This property has two options: Yes/No.
If you set this property as Yes, it will ask you the below property, otherwise it will send an email with no attachment.

Which Generate Excel Step

This property is used to set the Excel step (from which the excel sheet is getting generated) from the workflow which you want to attach with the email.
