Map View

The Map View lets you see all entries for a form based on one of two factors –

  • The location captured by the user through the form’s location widget.
  • The location at which a user has performed a particular submission.

To open map view –

  • Go to web.axonator.com
  • Click on the app for which you want to view form submissions.
  • In the left sidebar, click on the form name to view data submissions.
  • The screen in front of you will be displaying the list view for all data submitted.
  • Click on the “Location Pin” icon under the form’s name to open the form’s map view.

In the map view, you can –

  • View the locations entered by users in the Location widget of the form.
  • View data associated with that particular entry by clicking on the location pins.
  • Apply one or more filters to the form fields and get a precise selection of location pins based on the same.

Any user while creating a form can add one or more location widgets into their form.  If the property of “location capture” is set to “manual”, then users can manually select a location while submitting their form.
The map view displays a geographical map on which you can see the locations that have been entered by the users while filling up a form. The location pins a user has dropped while making a submission are visible here.

The default map view is created for the first location widget that is added to the form. In case you have more than one location widgets in the form, additional map views have to be created and configured for the same.
In case the location widget is not present in the form, the map view gets generated based on the “created at” system field, which essentially captures and displays the location at which the submission was made.
