How to add filters in charts?

Adding filters to your charts allows you to dynamically adjust the data displayed, providing more focused and relevant insights. This guide will walk you through the process of adding filters to charts in Axonator.

  1. Access Your Graphical Report

    • Navigate to the section where you have created your graphs and charts
    • This is typically in the ‘Analytical Reports’ or similar area of your Axonator app
  2. Locate the Chart to Filter

    • Find the specific graph or chart you want to add filters to
  3. Find the Add Filter Option

    • Look for an ‘ADD’ button, typically represented by a ‘+’ symbol
    • This button is usually located near your chart
  4. Open the Filter Menu

    • Click on the (+) button
    • You will see a list of fields from the form associated with that chart or graph
  5. Select Filter Fields

    • From the list of available fields, choose the ones you want to use as filters
    • These are typically fields from your form that are relevant to the chart’s data
  6. Save Filter Selection

    • After selecting the fields, save your choices
    • This action adds these fields as potential filters for your chart
  7. Access Dashboard

    • Go to web.axonator.com to access your dashboard
  8. Apply Filters

    • On your dashboard, locate the chart you added filters to
    • You should now see the filter options you selected earlier
    • Use these filters to dynamically adjust the data displayed in your chart

Important Notes

  • Filters can usually be easily modified or removed if needed
