Add Images to Reports

You can add images easily into your reports in one of two ways –

Static Images

Images that going to be a part of your template regardless of the data being submitted (eg. Company logo), can be added by dropping the “Image” tool.

To add a static image

  • Navigate to the PDF Report template Builder on builder.axonator.com.
  • Open an existing template / create a new template.
  • On the top right corner from the “Tools” section, drag the “Image” widget and drop it on the canvas where you wish to place the desired image.
  • Upload the image by browsing the folders on your computer and select an image.
  • Re-size and place the image as per your requirement.

Form Submitted Images –

For images that are going to be a part of the form submission and need to be included into the report, you will need to add the form widget for the same.

To add a form submitted image –

  • Navigate to the PDF Report template Builder on builder.axonator.com.
  • Open an existing template / create a new template.
  • Below the tools section, navigate to the form in which the image widget for the image you wish to add to the report exists.
  • Once you have located the image widget (by referring to the widget’s unique ID), drag and drop the widget into the canvas.
  • The image/s that you upload while submitting the form will be visible at the position where you have dropped the image form widget.

Please note –

  • For static images, only one image can be dropped for every image container you place on the canvas. You will have to place multiple containers if you wish to add multiple static images in your PDF report.
  • For form submitted images, you can view all the images attached by the user while they submit the form. Images are placed in a grid and are displayed in a systematic manner on your PDF report.
  • While there is no limit to the number of images you can attach in a report, e-mails with pdf reports attached will not be delivered if they exceed the size limit of the e-mail service.
